Hyperspectral Molecular Orientation Mapping in Metamaterials

The four polarisation method is adopted for measurement of molecular orientation in dielectric nanolayers metal-insulator-metal (MIM) metamaterials composed gold nanodisks on polyimide and films. Hyperspectral mapping at the chemical finger printing spectral range 4–20 ??m was carried out MIM patterns 1–2.5 period (sub-wavelength). Overlay images taken 0,?4,?2,3?4 angles subsequent baseline compensation are shown to be critically important interpretation results reduction spurious artefacts. Light field enhancement 60-nm-thick (I MIM) responsible strong absorption characteristic bands. Strong absorbance A narrow IR bands can used as a thermal emitter (emittance E=1?R), where R reflectance A=1?R?T, optically thick samples transmittance T=0.
